Outreach Coordinator – Lotus Coalition
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
Compensation: $17.00 to $25.00/hour
Hours: 30 hours per week
Reports to: Program Director
Position Summary
The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of The Lotus Coalition’s Drop-In Center and coordinating all outreach programs, ensuring consistent, compassionate, and effective support for individuals impacted by homelessness, addiction, trafficking, and poverty. This role requires reliability, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to trauma-informed, peer-centered care.
Survivor leaders and certified peer support specialists are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities: Drop-In Center Oversight
Oversee daily operations of the Drop-In Center, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment.
Greet and support guests with access to services, hygiene kits, clothing, and resources.
Supervise volunteers and staff on-site, providing direction and accountability.
Maintain schedules, visitor logs, and reporting systems.
Outreach Coordination
Plan, oversee, and participate in weekly outreach efforts, including street and club/massage parlor outreach.
Ensure outreach teams are fully equipped with supplies (Narcan, food, hygiene kits, clothing).
Maintain outreach logs, sign-ups, and track participation.
·Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to maximize program impact.
Volunteer Recruitment & Training
Identify, recruit, and onboard outreach and drop-in volunteers.
Facilitate training on trauma-informed care, safety protocols, and Lotus Coalition outreach practices.
Provide ongoing mentorship, supervision, and support to volunteers.
Administrative Support
Prepare outreach and drop-in reports for leadership and funders.
Assist with special events, partnerships, and community awareness campaigns.
Support communication and coordination across staff and volunteers.
Qualifications
Peer support or survivor leader background strongly preferred.
Experience supporting individuals impacted by homelessness, addiction, or trafficking.
Reliable, consistent, and highly organized.
Strong communication and trauma-informed interpersonal skills.
Willingness to work evenings or weekends as needed for outreach.
Must be compassionate and committed to the mission of The Lotus Coalition.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee the Drop-In Center, direct outreach teams, and bring dignity, stability, and empowerment to every interaction.
