Spring is here and Summer is just around the corner! As the weather changes, so do the needs of our community. At The Lotus Coalition, we are grateful for all donations including warm weather items. We are seeking donations such as: Electrolyte packets, protein bars, men and women’s hygiene items, men and women’s underwear, sports bras, sandals, first aid items, ChapStick, bottled water, sunscreen, bug spray, lotion, and more.

Many of us would do just about anything to make sure our fur babes are taken care of, and this transcends social class. The Tampa-St. Petersburg metropolitan area has the highest rate of homelessness in the nation, according to the National Alliance to End Homelessness in a report issued earlier this year - 57 homeless for every 10,000 residents. This area has approximately 16,000 homeless, and about one-fifth of them are children.
ADDICTION

In the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater area , an annual average of 326,000 persons aged 12 or older used an illicit drug in the past year.
HUMAN TRAFFICKING

1,146 signals were received were from victims or survivors of human trafficking in Florida
